PPEQuest is an independent, English-language magazine about personal protective equipment. It is written for the people who choose PPE, buy it, train others to use it – and for the people who have to wear it all day.
Most writing about PPE is either a product brochure or a regulation. PPEQuest sits in between: standards explained in plain language, myths retired, and honest stories about why protection works on paper and fails in practice.
What you will find here
- Guides – how to choose, use and look after gloves, hearing protection, respirators, eyewear, footwear and more.
- Standards & Law – EN, ISO and ANSI markings decoded, and what new rules mean in practice.
- Culture – the human side: comfort, habits, buying decisions and why people take PPE off.
- Fit & Fairness – protection that fits every body, not just the average one.
- Field Notes – detours and observations from life around PPE.
Who writes it
PPEQuest is edited by Laura Dorman, a PPE specialist based in Basel, Switzerland. Laura has spent more than a decade in the PPE world – on the supplier side, in fit-testing campaigns and in trainings – and has been writing the PPE Quest newsletter on LinkedIn since 2022.
Independence
PPEQuest is financed by its readers and by clearly labelled sponsorship from companies in the safety industry – only brands I believe in. Sponsors never buy editorial coverage, reviews or recommendations. Read how PPEQuest is funded.
